Capturing the Seasons
One Landscape at a Time
Autumn at Winkworth Arboretum
All Year Round
Each season transforms the same location, giving you new colors, textures, and atmosphere without needing new places
In spring you get fresh greens and blossoms, in summer lush foliage and long days, in autumn strong color and misty mornings, and in winter minimal scenes with snow, ice, or bare trees for graphic compositions. This means you can build a whole series from one landscape, returning through the year and learning how it changes
Nikon Z8 with the 24-70mm lens
Most of my landscape work is captured with a Nikon Z8 and the 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens
The 24-70mm focal range works as a versatile window into the world, allowing me capture an entire vista at 24mm, or isolate an interesting area at 70mm
The Z8’s resolution and speed capture the finest nuances of nature, from the jagged texture of a distant peak to the subtle gradients of a twilight sky, with a clarity that feels almost lifelike
